Thessaloniki and Halkidiki

Hello there!
As you can see this time I started  this entry with a photo of the Paradise (Athitos - Halkidiki). As a lover of the Sea, and those waters are Heaven on Earth - a quick note to the reader: I am from the coast and after a year without see, smell or even visit it...I was really excited to meet it again :).

This time as the title mention I visited Greece. Thessaloniki -Salonica or Solum for friends- was the destination and my goal was visit the beach. We arrived at Thessaloniki after a 5 hours bus from Sofia, Bulgaria. We tried to take the night bus but there was a strike in Greece, no buses running at night. Once we arrived and we had our Frappé of welcome! :) I headed to meet my flatmate and her friend at Kamara. Meeting point for Solum's youth in the city.

We had an amazing boat trip with drinks...for me...Mojito, yes please!! So happy! :) The boats are anchored at the end of the seafront and the trip is free, you have to get a drink instead. But 100% worthy! do not miss it!

After our wonderful and delicious dinner plus the amazing ice-cream I came back to the hostel to get rest and plan my next day in Athitos - Afytos-, the beach :).
I get up and met my friends for a breakfast in the Kamara, nice coffee shop just in front of the Kamara, the staff was cool and friendly - KALI MERA!! LOL. After that I headed to the bus station : destination Halkidiki.

No words to describe how good was it. Freedom and happiness.
There are too many different destinations from Halkidiki bus station. I chose Athitos, but there are more. Tickets prices depends on the destination.

What can I say about Greece...well...I love it. Coming from Spain and after visited Italy, I have to say that I am impressed about Greece. I am in love with Greece. Friendly and welcoming people, good food and weather. I could live in Greece. :)

I would like to recommend you the hostel where I was: Little Big House. Running by Vicky and Harry, a brother and sister. Amazing welcome, frappé included and good chat. Vicky thanks a lot for teaching me how to prepare Frappé! :) The hostel is clean and in case you need any help just tell the staff, they do it right away. Also it is located in the Old part (Ani Poli - do not miss the stony wall!) of Thessaloniki...charming atmosphere.

After my day at the paradise I had to say a sadly goodbye to Thessaloniki and Greece after get a Gyros! :)

Looking forward to coming back to Greece soon! :)

Have a good day!!
